Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs awarded a grant to Bryn Mawr’s Department of Italian and Italian Studies, praising the department’s excellence in promoting and advancing the knowledge of Italian language and culture in the United States.
Thanks to the grant, the Department will expand opportunities for students, especially with regards to internships for majors and minors.
For the last class of the semester, each students contributed to class discussion by bringing a delicious food and sharing it with all classmates.
Students and faculty spent the afternoon talking about the Italian Studies program, the classes offered this spring and new opportunities for our students. The cherry on top: a Skype chat with Cindy Columbus (class 2014, major in Italian), now in Milan to teach in English to Italian high school students.
A nice dish of pasta and a chat around the table is the best way to spend a Sunday night.
